Cannot open pdf files in Reader

I have a new lenovo android tablet version 8.1. Installed acrobat reader but cannot download and open any pdf's. All that shows on screen is skowfile.asp.Is this an android problem or acrobat problem?

It is a problem of the browser or the web site.

I can download them on another tablet or my laptop. All are using current firefox and reader. Have checked all settings and can find no differences
