I even uninstalled the programme Adobe Acrobat Reader just in case that it would close everything by itself. but nope..

PLEASE let me know if you know anything.  I can't even shut down my lap. bc it says that I first have to close the programme WHICH I CANT!!!

Hello Byzayav,

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Reader, please open Activity Monitor.

How to open Activity Monitor:

  1. Open Finder on Mac.
  2. In Search section on top right of Finder window type "Activity Monitor"
  3. Close all the Adobe process related to Adobe and Adobe Reader.

Then launch Adobe Reader, check for any pending updates from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after updating Adobe Reader and check with the PDF.

Secondly, you can force shutdown the computer, save and close all the apps before the shutdown. Then launch the PDF.

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
