I am confused. I have both Adobe DC and reader do not which do use to read a PDF file? Do I have to logon to ask a question?

You can use either one. Reader is only used for viewing PDF files. Acrobat can view them, as well as create and edit them in various ways. If you have Acrobat you don't really need Reader and can uninstall it.
