We have used the free Adobe acrobat reader companywide for many years and also have a number of the full versions too. Ultimately it is our preferred pdf programme and we have always been very happy with its application.
We have recently upgraded to MS Office 2016 and are now very disappointed to discover that our company font (kozuka gothic pro suite) is not compatible between adobe acrobat reader DC and the new office 2016. When using the application to save either excel or word as a pdf, either the application crashes or it turns our font to rubbish and printing to pdf it not much better.
The all singing all dancing Standard version of Acrobat works perfectly with our font, so why not the free reader? It is not realistic to expect a company to provide the full version for all of its employees.
Has anyone else had this issue? Or does anyone know how to work around it? I have looked through the list of known problems and it is not there and I have no other way of contacting adobe to raise it as a known issue ...

Hi Suzannem993884,
Could you please help us with some more information on this?
Are you trying to save a excel or word file as PDF using Adobe Reader DC?
was this working for you earlier using the same application?
If possible could you please send any document containing same font (kozuka gothic pro suite) so that we can test the same at our end?
*please check the private message
Regards,
Akanchha

Hi Akanchia
The problems arise when trying to save as adobe pdf mainly from excel, either the application crashes or all of our font changes to symbols. Everything worked fine prior to upgrading to office 2016 (or 2013 also I found when downgrading to try to solve the issue).
I'm not sure how to private message you with the examples and font files, could you please point me in the right direction?
Suzanne
