I have numerous images of financial records and investments. They are in JPG format and I would like to convert them to PDF. I have tried using Photoshop and several other programs. They all generate a file that is several times larger than the JPG file. Going through the options and selecting low quality and maximum compression seems to make no difference. The Mac computer also comes with Preview software that generates slightly smaller files, but they do not look right in Adobe Reader.
When I download documents from the bank, the PDF files are excellent quality and file size is very small. What software could the bank be using that makes file size so small? The best option I have found is an online converter at
https://jpg2pdf.com
The files generated from that website are good quality and smaller than the uploaded JPG file. Obviously there is zero security in using the site and I would only use it when security doesn't matter. I have tried downloading various software programs such as Pixillion, but the results are same. Big files.
Any ideas are welcome.
Thanks,
Bain
