Copy File to Clipboard Command

This command used to work, it would only copy one page of a 4-5 page document at a time, but itwould still work.  After a recent Adobe upgrade to version 2019.010.20064 Adobe will only copy the first page of the report, no matter what I try only the first page is copied.  I have tried 'Take a Snapshot' and that needs the screen resized in order to take a snapshot of each report page.  Is there any way to get the copy command to work, and not only with one page at a time but the entire report?

Could you expand on what it is you are trying to do, exactly what what command process or tool you are using, and the program/OS?  You mention 'Adobe' in your question, but we'll need more info than that.  Acrobat Pro DC?  Mac? Windows?  The additional info may help someone troublshoot your issue.

Sure, I can give more information:

O/S - Windows 10 - Version 1803

Using Adobe Reader DC - Version 2019.010.20064

I work at a hospital and we're using an ultrasound reporting package 'ViewPoint' to import images from ultrasound machines.  The sonographer using ViewPoint creates a report that is viewable in Adobe Reader DC.  Then the report is copied into the electronic medical record using the following Adobe commands:

Edit, Copy File to Clipboard

and then using the paste command in the electronic medical record.  This process is repeated until the whole report, anwhere from 3-5 pages is copied and pasted into the electronic medical record.

This used to work, it does not now as it will only copy the first page of the report and will not copy the subsequent pages.  So, we started using the Edit, Take a Snapshot menu command however that is a hassle because the screen size has to be reduced to fit each page of report on the screen.  If the screen size is not reduced then the report is cut off when it's pasted in the electronic medical record.

Really, what I would like to work is the copy command in it's entirety, copy file to clipboard....so I only have to click it once and the 3-5 page report will be copied to the clipboard and then pasted into the electronic medical record.

Thank you for adding clarification!  Of course, without ViewPoint at hand, I can't reproduce your exact routine, but here is what I was able to do:

I opened a multi-page (text-based) PDf in Adobe Reader (current version).  I executed the Edit>Copy File to Clipboard command.  I then opened Microsoft Word, and pasted the clipboard contents into the blank Word document.

The result was a Word doc that contained the complete text contents of the 4 page PDF.  The formatting was not great, but it was complete and mangeable.  

I would definitly ensure that you have the latest Reader updates.  Again, without ViewPoint, I am only able to estimate your situation using Word.  Might there have been an update to ViewPoint that is being stubborn?

I'll continue to see if I can locate a solution if I can.

I appreciate you helping, unfortunately these report have some pretty substancial formatting buit in, and when you just copy the straight text and paste it, all the formatting is lost.  I don't believe ViewPoint is the issue, as I've tried to do the very same exercise and paste the information into Microsoft Word and I get the same results.  I would have to find something that's non-medical with formatting to show you I suppose.  Thing is, again, this used to work with a previous version of Adobe and now, not so much.

Another thought...

Could you use the selection tool in Reader, do a Ctrl-A to select all the content, Ctrl-C to copy, and then attempt a Paste commant in ViewPoint?

Might be with a try.

Tried this as well.  All the report formatting is lost when the content is selected and pasted in this way.
