Cross references do not work

Hello,
I have a problem with the cross references/links in PDFs.

In the original document (PDF) the links work - no matter if I open it with Acrobat or any Reader. But as soon as I want to save only a part (page x to page xy) from it with the "Print as PDF" function, the links don't work anymore.

How can I save only a part of a PDF and keep the cross-references/links? (The target of these links is of course in the corresponding part ...)

Is there a possibility? Thanks in advance!

Printing a PDF to a PDF is generally considered a very bad idea. For many reasons, one of which is that it will lose everything related to interactivity, all links, form fields bookmarks, everything. Just don't.

In Acrobat (paid for) you can extract pages using the "Organize Pages" tool. Adobe don't give any way to do this without paying.
