Cursor icon changed to black square box

I am unable to change the way cursor looks while reading the document. Please help

my cursor has changed from its original settings from a arrow to a black square box...please help me put back to originals settings as I have already uninstalled adobe reader and reinstalled but still have same problem.

To change the cursor back to the arrow, please refer the troubleshooting steps provided in this thread with the similar issue: On Adobe Reader I have a black square instead of the mouse pointer.
