Cut parts of a PDF file to paste in other document

Community Beginner ,
Jan 09, 2008 Jan 09, 2008
I am using Adobe Reader 8.1.1. In an earlier version it was possible to cut parts of a PDF file and paste it into an other document.
This feature does not seem to work in V8.1.1.
Any solution to this problem.

Best regards
Peter

I know that.
I need to cut-n-paste a small part of a drawing in a PDF file.
After that I will paste it into an new document (ex. mail or Word doc).
This has been possible in version 6 or 7.

With a screen shot, or a snapshot. I think you mean copy & paste, not
cut & paste, since cutting implies changing the original.

The Select Tool is good for a single image, or some or all text.

Otherwise, try Tools > Select and zoom > Snapshot tool.

In version 8.0 try the View menu then goto Toolbars More Tools.

The snapshot tool, and many more, are located here. The list is long so you might want to scroll to the bottom of the list. It is under the heading "Select & Zoom Toolbar"
