Hello Laurentd,

Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. Are you getting the Save pop-up for all the PDF files or with a specific PDF file?

Are these PDF files are saved on a local drive or any network drive? Are they old ones? How were the PDF files created?

Navigate to Adobe Reader's Preferences from Edit>Preferences>Security(enhanced)>and uncheck Enable protected mode at startup and Click OK and check.

Also, reset the Adobe Reader's preferences once and reboot the machine, to reset the Preferences, refer to the steps mentioned in the article How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.

Is it a personal computer or an office computer? If the issue is specific to one PDF, Is it possible to share the PDF file with us so that we can test it at our end?

To share the file, please use Adobe Send feature, login to https://cloud.acrobat.com/send using your Adobe ID(email) and password, upload the file, share the link to files via private message only, How Do I Send Private Message

You can also refer and try the suggestions from the Adobe discussion Acrobat XI insists on saving every pdf the 1st time it is opened

Acrobat DC always wants to save changes on exit.

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Hello Anand, first of all, thank you for taking the time to answer me. After sending my message, I found in the Forum a message that other people had the same problem. It was stated in the answer that the problem could come from the application used to convert a file to PDF (see: steves23210816, 02/09/2018, 10:04, https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2450126#) . I then did tests and found that I had the problem with the files that I converted to PDF with Google Chrome when I print in PDF. So I will stop printing my PDF files with Chrome and I will inform Google that there is a problem with their browser. Thanks for your help.

Dear Anand Sri.

I have the same problem wiith Acrobat Pro DC but with my Macbook Air on Catalina :

When i go to Edit, i don't find Preferences. I can find  " Preferences" separatly by clicing on  Acrobat Pro DC but then i don't find Security but  i find  Protection or   enhanced protection . Those 2 protection   don't give me any way to    "uncheck Enable protected mode"

Thanks
