document tabs at top are hidden by apple menu bar

I have a 27" iMac with macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 --- I am running Acrobat Pro DC.

The problem: When I go from Full Screen View to normal view, with more than one document open, the tabs for those documents disappear behind the OS's Menu Bar across the top. Here's the way it looks:

I have tried various settings in document Properties to no avail. It works fine when not in full screen mode, but full screen mode is a must. Does anyone have any ideas?
