I need help how to correct a fill in the box templete. When the wording is too long it cuts it off and won't allow me to expand the box. TIA

That's how the form was designed. Just like a paper form, if the box to small, write less or complain.

Text fields in a (normal) PDF file can't expand, not automatically nor manually (unless a script is used to change their size when a button is clicked, for example). In short, there's nothing you can do about it using Reader. Report the issue to the authors of the form.
