Hi hernanl73709638,

Could you please let me know the product installed on the machine- Acrobat Reader/Adobe Acrobat?

The Operating System installed on the machine-Mac/Windows?

Please confirm the version of the product. For ex. for Acrobat Reader DC- launch Reader>click Help menu>select About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Could you please try disabling protected mode in Reader and see if that works?

Launch Reader>click Edit>Preferences>Security(Enhanced), uncheck the box next to Enable Protected Mode at startup>OK

Please note: Disabling protected mode is for troubleshooting purpose only. Please turn the feature back on after troubleshooting.

Thank You,

Shivam

I have the same question but this solution does not solve my issue.

OS: Windows 10

Adobe: Reader DC (2017.009.20044.25828) and Acrobat Pro (11.0.20.17)

Thanks for the assistance.

Hi jhearen88,

Try removing Reader using Cleaner tool which you can download from here: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Reboot the machine.

Download and install Reader DC from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Once installed, set Reader as a default pdf viewer by following the steps given in the link below:

Associate PDF files to always open in Acrobat or Reader on Windows 10

Thanks,

Shivam
