Error Message: "The Acrobat PDF browser plug-in is missing"

New Here ,

When I try to reinstall Acrobat Reader DC, I am told that it is already installed.  Re-installation does not help; the problem recurs from time to time.

Any suggestions?

Hi roberto78609064,

Could you please try removing Reader using Cleaner tool and reinstall Reader as suggested in the link below and see if that works:

My acrobat doc pdf browser plugin in missing

Which Browser and the Operating System you are using?

What is the version of Reader installed on the computer?

Launch Reader>click Help>select About Adobe Acrobat DC to check the version.

Awaiting your response.

I missed something, what do you do after you check the version of Acrobat PDF?

Hi Nancyg,

Are you facing the similar issue? If yes, remove Reader using cleaner tool which you can download from here: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs , reboot the machine, install Reader DC from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Thanks,

Shivam
