Error uninstalltion of the update package is not supported

Since a few weeks I get following message during the update of Adobe Reader DC:

"Die Deinstallation des Updatepakets wird nicht unterstützt" (The uninstallation of the update package is not supported)

The same message I get during automatic update, manual update, deinstallation of the reader and also during a new installation.

Assuming you are on Windows Operating System, could you please try removing Reader using Cleaner tool and see if that resolves the issue.

1- Download and run Cleaner tool from here: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

2- Restart the computer.

3- Download and install Reader DC from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Hi

The Cleaner Tool seamed to work properly.

After restart of the computer I tried to install the Acrobat Reader DC.

Just after extracting the files I got the message from Windows Installer: The deinstallation of the patch package is not supported.

Now I do not have any reader anymore on my computer!!!

Then, download and install Reader DC from here:

Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Download and install the patch for Reader from here:

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/AcrobatDC/1502320056/

this link fixed it for me when the acrobat tool wasnt. thanks
