Export to an already opened PDF file from word, excel etc.

Greetings!

So during my everyday use of the Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader I encountered a minor inconvenience several times. So when I try export a .doc or .xls to an already opened PDF, l can't do that because it's already opened. Well yeah I know. So I have to close the file, restart the export, then open again. Even for a minor a change.

Yeah I could rather use the browser for it since a simple refresh of the page does the trick after the export process, however I don't like that method.

So if there would be an option in acrobat reader to allow such overwrites if the user wishes. Or a popup window that notifies that an external source would like to refresh the file. So that would be convenient.

If it's already built in and I somehow managed to overlook it, then please notify me. I swear I tried to search for it!

Alexander

No, that's not possible. When the file is opened by the application it is locked by it. You also can't move, rename or delete an open file, so you can't overwrite it, either.
