Fast Web View

New Here ,
Feb 01, 2017 Feb 01, 2017

Hello,

i create optimized (linearized) pdf file's for fast web view, but it makes no odds to other documents when i download this document from webserver and show it in the Acrobat Browser PlugIn.

The first page is not visible before downloading the whole document. Why is there no view to the first pages before!?

Are there any settings which enable this feature??

Thanks, Stephan.

Hi Stj63256993,

If i understand it correctly, you mean the files you have optimized for Fast web view and the ones which are not appear same.

Please share the complete workflow you follow and what results you are looking for to help us understand the issue better.

Also, please mention the OS and the applications versions you are using.

Thanks,

Supriya

On top of Supriyas questions, can you tell us what browser(s) you are testing with?

Hello,

yes i mean the optimezed pdf files (50 pages) !!!! I test it with IE and Firefox. The viewer shows the optimezed documents only after full download. WHY?? I think with fast web view, it is possible to show the firt pages before the full document is loaded!

Ok, some thoughts.

1. We know nothing about what FireFox does, it does not use Adobe technology.

2. Make sure you are using in IE the Acrobat Reader plug-in and that the PDF is being shown in the browser window.

3. Make sure it is an http or https URL: fast web view is not for file sharing or for FTP

4. Test with a different file, perhaps a text only file of many many pages; in some cases (such as complex backgrounds) most of the file has to be downloaded first.
