Fatal Error - Could not load Core DLL and also cannot uninstall

Hi,

None of my pdf documents are opening. It gives the error - Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL.

I tried to uninstall in order to reinstall from Control Panel and I am given the error

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\plug_ins\Annotations" is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupt or unreadable

I checked for the size of the folder from properties and it gives 0 kb. Please help I really need it.

When I try to install a new version it tells me that it cannot install as my laptop has a newer version.
