Fill and Sign Issues / Changes from XI

My name is Michael Chen, and I was hoping if you might be able to advise me regarding two features that appear to have been lost / altered from Adobe Reader XI to Adobe Reader DC.

  1. With XI, I was able to use the Fill and Sign tool to very quickly add a header / label on each page by using one turn of the mouse wheel and the Paste function in quick succession (used mostly when sending deidentified scans of documents). With DC, I can no longer scroll to another page while using the Fill and Sign tool using that shortcut—the only way to move to another page is to move my cursor to the bottom of the screen, click the next page button, then restart the Fill and Sign process. When sending files that are 30+ pages on a regular basis, this eats up a lot of time and places significant strain on my mouse hand compared to when I had Adobe XI. I frequently use Adobe to label documents in this manner.

  2. Additionally, in Adobe XI I was able to rotate the page to adjust the alignment of the header I'm pasting (such as when the next page of a scanned set of records involves a "landscape" oriented EKG as opposed to the standard portrait orientation). With DC, whenever I rotate the page to change the alignment of the header on separate sections of the same pdf, it results in all the prior text boxes I fill out being rotated as well—rendering the alignment efforts moot.

Do you have any tips / suggestions regarding these two issues? Unfortunately, I have spoken with my IS department about the possibility of “downgrading” back to XI, but they are unable to do so for my workstation.

Thanks,

-Mike
