Get hyperlinks in PDF documents to open in Microsoft Office not Sharepoint

Hi All,

I want to ensure that links I add into PDF documents follow Microsoft URIs for various applications to open in App rather than browser. This is because the staff members using the documents require the full design features that are found in the app versions not browser versions.

I can acheive this within other microsoft applications (Office, Word, Excel, Visio) by putting the relevant URIs in front of them (e.g.  ms-excel:ofv|u|https://etc...). When I have exported these documents to PDF however the URI part does not work. Does anyone else have a solution to this without moving all my files off sharepoint?

Thanks,

Matt
