I upgraded my Mac OS to 13.0.1 and had to reinstall Reader. Now it's glitchy. There were some blank squares (solved) but my digital signature is nowhere to be found. I've tried unchecking the "modern" option but still I can't sign things.

Any ideas? It's

Hi @Robert2769512272sk

Sorry for the delay in response.

The description shows that your Digital Signatures have been missing since you reinstalled Acrobat Reader. Is that right?

If you still see the blank box, then right-click on it and see if you have the option to Clear the signature or Validate Digital Signature. Does it load the content?

If that doesn't work, then,

1- Please ensure you are signed in to the Acrobat Reader. Else your signature won't sync.

2- Open Reader>Help>Chcek for an update

More information about this release is here: Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader

2-

Navigate to Adobe Acrobat Reader>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat Reader and check back.

Note: these changes are only for testing purposes. Once tested, please change it back to the previous setting.

3- Create a New digital signature. Sign the document and see if those are visible or not. https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/certificate-based-signatures.html

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Thanks for replying.

--Yes, I can no longer used my saved signature that I’ve been using for years.

--I am signed in.
--I can’t check for updates. See screen shot. Robert2769512272sk_0-1674418297554.png

—I disable Enhanced Security but nothing changed.

—I don’t think creating a new signature will solve the issue (error 301) or the other problems.

Also, I notice that the version I have is

Build: 22.3.20281.0.

But the version of my laptop (which still works) is

Build: 22.3.20310.0

@Robert2769512272sk

Update your Acrobat Reader to the most recent version.

Go to Acrobat Reader> Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once (you must save all the work before restarting)

To download the patch manually, more information about this release is here: Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader

If it still doesn't help then,

Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s file traces:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Download the Acrobat Reader installer from here:

https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Let us know the result.

I've been out of town. Thanks for your patience.

When I check for updates, I get the same issue as before:

An error occurred. Please check for updates again later.

Error: 301

Your instructions don't explain what to do. "Download the patch"? What patch?

How come this was working for years and then just stopped?
