Hidden action-triggered fields display in other viewers, but not adobe reader

See images for the issue, my question is simply how I can get these to show up using the adobe acrobat reader (the image where the blue text box appears is using the google chrome reader, using the acrobat reader I just get this small grey box around the cursor).

Any help in figuring this out would be much appreciated, thank you.

That's odd. Are you sure that JS is enabled in Reader? Can you share the file with us?

Also, what's your exact version of Reader, and what's your OS version?
