If I select a text it become selected but colour is not appearing.Please suggest which setting I have to change.

Assuming you are on Windows, try to repair the application and check if it is updated to the latest patch released.

To repair the application and check if there is an update available, launch the application and go to Help menu.

Select Repair Installation and Check for updates from the drop-down menu.

Could you please share the dot version of the Adobe application you are using.

Refer the steps provided here Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC to check the dot version.

Hi Debabratap,

As you are trying to highlight the text, please make sure that you first select the highlight tool from the toolbar at the top.

Once the tool is selected then try to select the text you wish to highlight in the file.

Also, check if the color for highlight tool is not set up as white.

To check the color, select the tool and then press "Ctrl+E" from your keyboard.

A highlight tool properties window will pop up. Check the color reflect in that window.

You can set the color you need to highlight the text.

Are you not able to highlight text on a particular file or it's an issue with all the files?
