I'm running Acrobat Reader DC on a MacBook Pro. Each time I load a pdf spreadsheet file, Acrobat loads it in portrait mode. Then I have to rotate it. When I'm done, I save it in landscape mode. The next time I want that file, it loads in portrait. This is wasting my time. This did not happen earlier. If you can help me with this, I will be extremely grateful. That will be true even if you tell me that Adobe chose to write the code that way, and it can't be changed. Thanks.
The answer is no, you can't change the page view using Reader.
The best you can do is tell it to remember the last view settings you used the next time the file is opened.
That can be set via Preferences (under the app menu on a Mac) - Documents.

Acrobat Reader can't create PDF files. How did you create the PDF file?

Of course, if you paid for Acrobat the answer is different. But you've posted in the Reader forum and refused to answer questions so we have to assume you're trying to do this for free.
