How do I put the toolbar on the left instead of the top?

I recently switched from 16:10 to a 16:9 monitor, and the lack of vertical space in Adobe Reader is becoming very vexing. Sure you can go fullscreen or hide the menu and the toolbar, but I actually want the utility of the toolbar. I always have a ton of empty space on each side, is there a way to get the toolbar (and maybe even the menu) on the side? If not, then Adobe really needs to reconsider their UI in a world of excess horizontal and limited vertical space. (See also: Their use of a standard Windows frame on top, instead of combining it with the tab bar like every web browser does now.)
