How to disable comment pop-ups when highlighting?

Hello everyone,
I am a student, who needs to read through many documents quickly and efficiently. To do this, the tools I use are 'highlighter' and the colour change tool, so that I can distinguish between the two (yellow is noteworth while green is more important).
The recent software update has meant that, if you highlight when the comment tab is open, then an automatic pop-up will load. If you use 'quick tools' and the comment tab is not open then this does not happen, but then I lose the ability to change highlighter colour quickly. I have tried many different settings in the preferences tab, and none of them change the fact that comments pop-up while highlighting with the comment tab is open.

This was not previously an issue and I was wondering if anyone could advise me with some settings changes to either:
Add the highlighter colour change button to quick tools
or
Prevent these annoying pop-ups

Thanks

Casper

Hi Casper,

Sorry to hear about the frustrating experience.

The comment pop-up has been introduced with the latest update to the Adobe Reader/Acrobat. This is a design behavior of the application and currently we do not have option to disable it manually.

We request you to please use this form to request new features or suggest modifications to existing features: Feature Request/Bug Report Form
