Thank you for your reply.

The correct answer was to sign out from Adobe. When I signed back in, the little moving circle was not there !. I have the Adobe Acrobat Reader Pack, annual subscription cost is 99 Cnd $. It does have “combining files” in its drop down options.

Reader can't combine files. Are you doing it via the browser? If so, simply close the window...
