Hi lauram73,

Please follow below mention steps to repair Reader installation:

Launch Reader>click Help>select Repair Installation.

What is the dot version of Reader installed on the computer?

To check the version, under Help>select About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Which Operating System is installed on the machine-Windows7/8/10?

Keep us posted with the results.

Thanks,

Shivam

Hi lauram73,

Could you please try installing .Net Framework from the following link and see if that works?

Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Make sure to reboot the machine after installation.

Thanks,

Shivam
