I am trying to fill fields that require numbers.  The character fields are fine.  Originally, I was able to put in the numbers but when I went back to change them my number keys wouldn't work.   When I would delete the $000.00 and replace it with the numbers I wanted it would just beep.

There's probably some kind of keystroke script associated with the field that prevents certain characters from being entered into it.

Can you share the file in question with us (using Dropbox, Google Drive, Adobe Cloud)? At any rate, there's probably nothing you can do about it with the free Reader. You should report this issue to the author of the form and ask them to fix it.
