I have no idea how to make Adobe work.  I have to open fillable forms through a government portal and this worked well before I bought this....now nothing works!

You posted an inquiry in an Adobe Reader DC forum.

If you're using Adobe Reader DC , that is a free PDF viewer, and it allows you fill and sign a form, comment, save, print and share a PDF document.

So, unless you're not a victim of a scam, I don't understand why are you paying 37 dollars month for Adobe Reader.

Aren't you referring to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC?  which is a full desktop computer version that is intended to create, edit, and collaborate online with other Adobe family of products, and third-party service providers.

Besides, take a look at the current pricing plans for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC:

The plan (depending on the region) seems to be less than 16 dollars a month with a yearly commitment.

I don't see $37 dollars a month option.

It would be helpful if you provide exactly the correct name of the Adobe software that you're referring to, and its latest version update number.

And also compare pricing with an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription:
