iMac - DC Reader not converting pdf to word doc?

New Here ,
Mar 02, 2017 Mar 02, 2017

For some reason when I open a PDF in DC Reader and I want to convert that pdf to a word doc it doesn't even show it as an option. I click on all the options and the arrow goes up then click again and the arrow goes down without giving me an option to convert to a word doc. Any ideas why?

Hi,

This issue should be fixed in the latest update.

Please download the latest update from: Acrobat Help | Release notes | Acrobat DC, Acrobat Reader DC | Update and proceed with your workflow. Let us know if that helps.

Its shows when you have a file and you click on export it is not opening the option to change the pdf to a different format.

Hi,

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

Please try the following steps

1. Update Reader to latest version from Help > Check for Updates. Let us know the Reader version from 'About Acrobat Reader DC'. Now try the workflow

2. Quit Reader and check if there is a process 'RdrCEF.exe*32' still active in the task manager? If there are, kill all of them and relaunch Reader

Please let us know if you are able to complete your workflow from Tools > ExportPDF app? If not, please share the snapshot of error you are observing

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Poorvi

Hi TheRachaelWest,

Please try logging out and log in again, then export the file.

Also, please confirm if its happening with all the files and if you receive any particular error as well while trying to convert the files.

For now, you may try using the link below for the file conversion:

https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf

Thanks,

Supriya

So it happens with all files. I tried logging out then back in without luck. Could it be some setting within the mac itself that is causing the application not to give me the option to export? The web-based clink you gave me works fine.
