Imbedded Photos in Pages document get randomly scattered when the pages file is converted into pdf

Hi! 

I have created a virtual family history in 'pages' with over 1000 pages and 2000 photos, 2,6 Gb. After exporting the file into pdf format photos closer to the end of the file get randomly scattered, which brings the whole history into chaos... Could you help me fix this problem? Thank you in advance!

Would you mind sharing the steps you are doing to create the PDF from the original document?

 

Acrobat Reader is a freeware application with limited functions. It is used to read, annotate and fill and sign PDF files. For more information please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/faq.html

The problem seems to lie in Pages. That's Apple's department. No Adobe software is involved in exporting from Pages to PDF format.
