Yesterday I called Apple Care because I couldn't open Acrobat PDF's in Safari on certain websites. They said that Adobe had put out a bulletin out with the fix. Apple had a copy but told me they couldn't pass on this information because it was outside the scope of their responsibilities. I have spent the last two and a half hours going around and around on the adobe website with no success. I got on a chat for the paid products ans they told me to come here. Any help would be appreciated.
Problem was solved by Apple at one of their stores.

Thank you

Doesn't sound familiar, so let's go back. All fixes are released to the current versions of Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC. What are your symptoms, in detail? Please give any error messages in full.

No error message. PDF's won't open on certain websites using Safari but will using another web browser. Apple Care said they were in possession of a bulletin from Adobe sating that this was known issue and had a fix on that bulletin. I currently have to use Firefox to open PDF's on these two websites that I need to use regularly. Apple Care Spent two hours and forty minutes on the phone with me making sure everything else was up to snuff on my 2016 MacBook Pro

When you say they won’t open, what do you see?
And, what exact version of Acrobat or Reader do you have?

I have version 11.0.23
When I say it won 't work, what happens is I go to the page where the PDF is supposed to be and I get a Message telling me how to go to the correct page to view my PDF, but the message is a PDF itself with no way to move forward

So you are several versions behind, a tech note isn't likely to apply.
What are the words on that message, please? Details matter.

Hello Mritten,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are not able to view PDF files in Safari, is that correct?
Please install the latest version of Adobe Reader DC from Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution
Reboot the machine and see if this brings any difference.
Note: Adobe Reader 11 is already declared as an end of support product, End of Support means that Adobe no longer provides technical support or distributes runtimes. This policy affects product and security updates for all derivatives of a product or product version (localized versions, minor upgrades, operating systems, dot and double-dot releases, and connector products).
For detailed information, please refer to End of support for Adobe Acrobat XI and Reader XI
Keeping the older version installed on the machine is not recommended by Adobe as it was already mentioned by Aandi Inston earlier and fix or updates or security patches are limited for the older versions.
Will request you to install the latest version of Adobe Reader and let us know how it goes.
To uninstall Adobe Reader, you can use Acrobat cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
Reboot the machine after uninstalling the older version of Adobe Reader and then install the latest one.
Let us know how it goes and share your findings.
Regards,
Anand Sri.
