Hi all
We are using in our Company Adobe Acrobat Reader DC the latest Version (2017.009.20044).
We are not able to open some PDF Files. We’ve got this error message: insufficient data for an Image.
If we try to open the PDF fil with e.g. Microsoft Edge it works.
Is there any solution available yet?
Thank you.
Regards

This usually turns out to be a problem with the file. For example some images have extra bytes, which causes the error for security reason while other viewers show them. About one time in fifty it's a bug in Reader, but it's been around a long time and is generally pretty good at this. Can you publicly share such a file for analysis?

Ok, here is the diagnosis
The PDF is faulty. This should be reported to the makers of the software creating it. The fault is such that spme apps will ignore it and show most of the image.
Tech details: the image is a fax-encoded bitmap. The PDF says it has 1728 columns and 1159 rows. But it is one row short and has only 1158 rows. This is a fault.
