intalling adobe

downloaded and installed Adobe reader and saw it in the download file but did not get it in the programs in the control panel. Did I miss something?

It isn't called Adobe Reader, hasn't been called Adobe Reader for years. See if you see Acrobat Pro or just Acrobat.
