Layers greyed out in Adobe Acrobat X - how to fix?

I'm unable to print layers on several documents on my PC. This must be a settings issues, as those same documents print on my Mac. Any suggestions?

How are the setting different on the windows computer versus the mac.  Compare your settings? reset your setting on the widows to default? Show screenshots so we can see.

I can't see any differences in the setting, but I must be missing something.

Is this in Reader?

Actually, it's both in Pro and Reader.
