Is there a list of Error Codes for Acrobat Reader?

The error numbers are difficult to solve without knowing what they mean.

Google "Adobe Reader Error <error code number>" and you might find some useful information. I don't think there's a public list of these codes.

The error codes could also be from the OS. It is best to provide details about your computer and OS.

I have searched the Adobe forums (also a wider 'internet search'), and there are a number of posts with my error, but none particularly useful.

I still feel an Error Code list would be a helpful tool.

Adobe staff?  Can you help us out?

There probably a dozen(s) more header files with hundreds if not thousands error codes, plus custom defined error codes, plus 3rd party error codes.

Also, the same error code might have different meaning under different conditions.

As others already suggested, post your error code here including all related information - steps to get the error, images if any, etc..

Exactly - Microsoft (and other companies) are very helpful sharing their error codes, thanks for the link.

Doesn't really help with Adobe codes, but your reply suggests you don't intend to share them.
