When printing from the MacOS14 and macOS 15 dev beta using the HP driver there is an error: "Filter failed"
The issue is random using the same document and will not be printed and get stuck in the spooler with the error "filter failed"
Sonoma 14.4.1
Problem statement :-
The "Filter" failed issue is reproducible only on macOS 14 and macOS 15 developer beta with Adobe acrobat reader. and it is not reproducible on other pdf viewer applications eg:(Preview, Foxit Reader).
Steps to Reproduce :-
Reset print system
1.Delete HP and PPDs folder from Library/Printers
2.Install 6.2.0.1
3.Create a new print queue with IP using IPP Protocol.
4.Open document in Acrobat Pro
5.Open Print Dialog
6.Select something that invokes hppostprocessing. I tried booklet and watermark both created error.
Note:- The issue is reproducible with all the pdfs and it is not a particular

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
I tried the same workflow, and the issue is not reproducible at my end.
Could you please provide the following information:
1. Has the problem started happening recently, or has it been going on for a while.
2. Is the issue happening every time, or is it happening intermittently.
3. Is it happening with multiple machines or with a specific machine. Please confirm.
4. What's the behaviour of the print functionality when you add a printer other than the IPP protocol, like AirPrint, PS Print, etc.
5. Could you please provide the version number of the reader. You can check it by clicking on Adobe Reader on the top left side > About Adobe Reader.
6. It will be great if you can provide a video of the issue that’s happening at your end.
7. Could you please share some of the PDF files on which you are facing the issue.

1. Has the problem started happening recently, or has it been going on for a while.
A: Yes, the probelm is going on for a while, and the issue is on macOS14 only.
2. Is the issue happening every time, or is it happening intermittently.
A: The issue is happening every time.
3. Is it happening with multiple machines or with a specific machine. Please confirm.
A: It is not specific to printer, we are seeing this issue when we use the post processing options like booklet printing, Watermarks, etc...
4. What's the behaviour of the print functionality when you add a printer other than the IPP protocol, like AirPrint, PS Print, etc.
A:When we use the Airprint the issue is not reproducible.
5. Could you please provide the version number of the reader. You can check it by clicking on Adobe Reader on the top left side > About Adobe Reader.
A:Version 2024.002.20893
6. It will be great if you can provide a video of the issue that’s happening at your end.
A: The size of the video log is more than 47MB, Can you please provide any sharepoint link so that i can upload the video log
7. Could you please share some of the PDF files on which you are facing the issue.
A: Sure i will attach below

We have been able to reproduce the issue in-house, and the team is working on it.
