Regardless of whether I open up one file at a time or multiple files, the find function has suddenly stopped working on Acrobat Reader DC version 2020.009.20067.
At best it will match one time in one file for a keyword search that should bring many results.
This seriously hampers the value of Acrobat Reader as a PDF viewer for me.

We are sorry for the trouble. As described the search funtion is not working properly.
Do you get any error message while searching for the word? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same.
Are you using the search function or Advanced Search function?
Go to Adobe Reader > Preferences once and disable the "Enable Fast Find" and Click on "Purge cache Contents", Click OK, close Adobe Reader and try again.
Also, please try to update the application to the latest version 20.009.20074 go to Help > Check for Updates.
