To my knowledge I have not updated by Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, however for some reason the application does not function as it used to. When trying to Create a PDF, I used to have a window open up and give me a number of different methods for creating a new PDF. Options like screen and window capture, choose a file etc. Now the only option I have is to Choose a File, where did the the other options that I once had go?

Also, when trying to Combine into a PDF, I used to do it all within the application window on my laptop. Now whenever I try to combine something it open a tab on my browser and take me to https://cloud.acrobat.com/combinepdf . I am now only able to combine 12 images or files at a time and I have no option like I once had to separate out multiple files into individual PDF's. I used to be able to take 30-40 pictures at time and separate them into individual PDF, some with only one page others containing multiple.

What has happened and how do I resolve this? I can no longer perform the basic functions that I was once able to, PLEASE HELP.

If you used to be able to create pdf files or combine pdf files in the application window, you were using Adobe Acrobat not Adobe Acrobat Reader. You probably misunderstood the update thinking it was for Acrobat when it was for Reader and Reader is now opening your pdf files.

Find Acrobat on your system, make sure it works properly (installing Reader should not have effected Acrobat) and if it does, change your file associations so that your system uses Acrobat instead of Reader to open files.
