Dear Adobe Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to report an issue I have encountered with digitally signing large PDF documents. I have a 28 MB document that I scanned and need to sign digitally. Unfortunately, I have found that the signing process only works when the file size is reduced to 1.7 MB. Attempts to sign the document at sizes of 10.5 MB and 28 MB have been unsuccessful. Reducing the file size to 1.7 MB significantly impacts the readability of the document.

Could you please address this issue and allow for larger PDFs to be digitally signed without requiring such a drastic reduction in file size? I have noticed that many others have reported similar issues.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Best regards,

Simon

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to digitally sign the PDF file? A small video recording of the same would be very helpful for more clarity.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20857 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Let us know how it goes.
