Numerous Error messages "The document could not be saved. A number is out of range."

I have been having trouble saving a pdf with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. I repeatedly get this error message : "The document could not be saved. A number is out of range". A Save as window appears afterward. A new file is not created when I enter a new name for the document, but changes are saved on my original file. Those changes are however not visible on other PDF reader application such as Preview.

I am afraid that I'll eventually have trouble opening or saving changes to my document.
