Hello,
I have an old pdf file with bookmarks. The bookmarks are working in adobe reader 9 when I am working on XP.
However, in Windows 10, they are not working anymore (I have tried with both Adobe reader 9 and DC).
The bookmarks appear on the side of my document, but when I click on a link, it doesn't access to the corresponding page.
The document shows only 1 page (the first one) (1/1).
Is there a way to convert the document so the bookmarks are working on windows 10?
Thank you
Then the bookmarks, it seems to me, must be opening different files. They can do that. You need to make sure you have all of the files. Possibly in exactly the same place, possibly not.
When you look at a section, is there an Acrobat Reader bar across the top of the window, with a file name in it? Does that change?

Can you share the pdf file?

I would like to, but unfortunately, it is a confidential document.
I took a chance that someone has experienced the same issue with a file, because I know that it is not really convenient to find the issue without the file...

If it says 1/1, this must be a 1 page file. The links are probably to other PDF files? Are they all there for you?

In XP, all the document sections are there.
If I click on a bookmark, it will display the section (and it will show for example page 1/55)
In windows 10, all the same bookmarks are there. But if I clik on one, it will not change to this section, it will remain on the first page.
As if the links are not working anymore.

But the other sections - are they there before you click the bookmarks? For example, if you just scroll down at the start, do you reach the next section?

No, I cannot scroll down.

Thank you so much!
In XP, the pdf file was in a folder with many other files but I have copied only this pdf file in another folder to open it on windows 10. I havent thought that the bookmarks of the pdf could be linked to other files.
I have copy all the folder and now it is working.
