Hello community,

we have an issue since a long time with the reader internetexplorer plugin: now we are using v 2017.009.20044. (VDI)

I have to say, that we are using redirected folders, so the desktop path is e.g.: \\SERVER\userhome$\USERNAME\documents\desktop

If users try to save to the desktop an error occurs: the drive is full

But only some users (maybe 5%) have this issue, others can open documents.

Disabled protection mode disabled

i tried many different think i noticed in different posts (adding the path to trusted location, disk quota, protection mode)

Re: Unable to save PDF to network drive "disk used for temporary files is full"

But nothing really helped.

Anyone more ideas to fix the error?

Hi Laurentu,

Would you please provide us more information about the environment:

  • Name and version of the operating system.
  • The version of IE.
  • Is it Citrix XenApp or Desktop environment?

Also, if possible help us with a screen recording to understand the behavior. Will be waiting for your response.

If you already have found a solution to this issue, please update the thread with your findings.

We are using VDI (Vmware Horizon View 7.3.2), Internetexplorer 11.0.9600.18893 / Now on DC18.009.20050, Windows 7 Ent 64bit

error only occures without admin rights and only if you save on a redirected path (unc), on a network drive there are no issues.

Hi Laurentu,

It has been a long time.

We have released February 2018 Quarterly update. Would you please update and try reproducing this issue.

Also, would you check Mike's response and try whitelisting the folder path: Re: Acrobat Reader DC "There was an error opening this document. Failed to load an application resou...

If the issue is reproducible, try collecting ProcessMonitor logs: Download Acrobat and Reader Process Monitor Tool - Adobe Labs

And you may share the logs using Adobe Send: How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud
