Pages in ebook wont turn

Hi - I'm an Adobe Digital Editions newbie so sorry if this is obvious.....

Ive installed ADE, downloaded my book and opened it, but I cant turn the pages. Moving the slider at the nottom of the screen doesn't change my place in the book, and the back/forward arrows don't work. Any suggestions please?  I'm running Windows 7
