PDF failing to load/crashing/total shutdown

New Here ,
Jun 26, 2017 Jun 26, 2017

So i'm using my Windows 10 laptop for college use and stuff. Most of the documents i receive from my professor are PDF files. I was able to open them fine for months until they start to crash.

Say i want to download a PDF file via google. I view it in google and try to download it to my laptop when it crashes. or it seems to,

It suddenly closes and reopens and closes and reopens until i close google chrome completely.

I even end up getting like 10 unusable downloads in my "Downloads" folder.

Same thing go es when i try to open some PDFs from my professor. I have to download to view them and they end up doing the same thing.

Did i do something wrong?

Or is my laptop on the fritz?

Please Help!!

Hi jamesbond3w,

As you mentioned that you open the file in Google, it seems that you use the browser PDF viewer to view the file.

Please try once to clear the cache and cookies from the browser settings.

If you experience the same issue in Adobe application when you view PDF, please try the troubleshooting steps provided in this help document: Resolve Acrobat DC intermittent crashes on Windows

Check if this helps.

Let us know how it goes

Regards,

Meenakshi
