pdf file disappeared after I repaired the reader

My pdf file couldn't open, then I follow the online instruction to repaired the Adobe Reader DC.

But after I repaired it, those could not open files gone.

Gone from where you saved it? Or is the recent file list just empty?

Where was it saved to (what folder)? Repairing or reinstalling Reader does not touch your files if done normally -- can you link to the instructions you followed just in case?
