PDF FILES HAVE BLANK BLACK SPACE

I recently updated to Adobe Reader DC on my PC and now many of  my PDF files are coming up with a BLANK BLACK SPACE. How do I fix this?

Try Edit>Preferences>Page Display>Page content and information. Make sure that "Show large images" has a check next to it.
