PDF's no longer open

In the past 24 hours, my MacBook Pro stopped opening any PDF file as I have always done so. Click on the file, it opens. Now, I have to download the PDF, and use the "eye" icon on the touch bar as the only way to open the file and only after it has been downloaded on my hard drive - I can't access it from an email as I've always done before. Clicking on the PDF does not work, clicking on "open" does nothing - only using the "eye" icon on the touch screen. What changed?

Hi Patrickxbss,

We apologize for the delay in response to your query.

Which application you have installed on your Mac to open the pdf documents? Is it Adobe Reader or Mac's own PDF viewer?

If you have the Adobe Reader DC installed, then you may check whether the application is up--to-date or not?

1- Open Acrobat>Help>Check for update.

2- Check the related help document- See how to troubleshoot problems opening PDF files and other PDF related issues

Regards,

Akanchha
