Hi.

I'm an 8th grade homeschool student who uses Acrobat Reader as a viewer and editor for my 'books' that are pdfs. Sometime last year, my Science pdf had suddenly been deleted and I didn't know the reason why. To this day, I still haven't been able to re-answer my lessons as the subject is very difficult for me. However, today my Math pdf had also been deleted. Both had displayed the same pop up. "Unable to open document. The file "Math 8.pdf" doesn't exist." This was very difficult for me to take in as I am 15 years old and is two school years late due to financial issues.

I found out that the pdfs may be deleting as I have left them open while downloading an update. I had to learn this the hard way. I wanted to contact Abobe, but there seemed to be no direct option. I would like to inform them about this in hopes of fixing the problem. If there is any help they can offer to help me with this, it'd be gladly appreciated. If there isn't, then there is no problem at all. I had just wanted to share the incident as this had been tough for me personally. Please do understand.

Leaving documents open won’t cause this (though it’s a bad idea). Not controlling where you save a file WILL do this. Where did you have them saved? Do you take backups?
